Australian Rail Training is offering Certificate II in Transport and Logistics - Rail Operations 'off campus' via our club membership program.
We have spent a lot of time developing this option to allow those people wishing to enter the railway industry, who for many reasons may not be able to afford to drop their current employment or pay the upfront fees some training providers charge to get this nationally recognised qualification.
Don't think that the Railway is just for men to join there is a growing number of women who are also deciding that being a Train Driver is a good career move. Sign-up today and give it a go!
Once you have completed Certificate II - Rail Operations you will be qualified to join a Rail Operator as an Assistant Locomotive Driver.
How does it all work?
When you enrol in our 'club membership' you will receive your student handbook outlining all the competencies etc needed to fulfill Certificates I and II in Rail Operations, you also get sent out all the other paperwork you will need to complete plus your student login details.
There are 15 modules to complete for Certificate I & II - Rail Operations some you will find quite quick while others will take a bit more effort to complete. Parts of the course can only be completed via face to face training these require you to attend four, 2 day workshops to complete.
Workshops are held in various locations and times to allow all students the opportunity to attend whilst not having to travel great distances.
Each month your training module/s will contain all the necessary information needed to complete it. This will at times include manuals, DVD's, diaries and articles, books, etc.
Once you have completed a module you are required to send your assessment/s back so one of our trainers can sign you off as competent.
Modules are sent out each month automatically after reciept of your monthly subscription fees these fees are taken out automatically each month via direct debit.
. These workshops are not included in the $49.95 p/m membership fee however they are 40% off their normal cost.
'Our trainers are always there to help simply send an email or make a phone call.'
